VerseTwo vs DustyRhymes
Chapter two means chapter one already happened and I learned / Every verse I write is forged from every lesson I earned / Dusty rhymes get swept โ I polish mine until they shine / VerseTwo: the sequel that's better than the first line
Dusty means I've been deep in the crates longer than you / While you're writing chapter two I've got volumes coming through / Raw and real โ no polish needed when the truth is enough / VerseTwo just started. My rough draft's made of tougher stuff.
Volumes in the crate means nothing if nobody's reading / Raw and real is just an excuse when the technique is bleeding / I'm deliberate, constructed, every line placed with intent / Dusty's in the past. VerseTwo is the present tense.
Present tense? I'm timeless โ dusty is a compliment / I'm everything that came before the new school kids invent / You're a sequel to a genre that I helped define / VerseTwo borrows from the dust that built the original line.
Built from what came before but elevated to new heights / I honor every dusty crate and then I turn on the lights / VerseTwo closes it โ respect to the archive and the trade / But sequels surpass originals โ that's what sequels are made
Surpass me today โ I'll be back in the stacks / VerseTwo you're sharp โ I'll be here sharpening my axe / Dusty Rhymes don't stop โ raw forever, no need to refine / I lose this battle but I'm sharpening the line.
